Tiajmo is an Australian urban art studio located in the bayside region of Melbourne and home to contemporary abstract artist Feral Lagios.

Where it began ~

Tiajmo was initially formed in 2005 after the passing of Feral's grandfather. Although it was a very emotional time, she decided to draw on her creative abilities to help express her feelings of sorrow and loss. Although it had been some years since Feral had painted, she created a very personal and symbolic piece which truly captured her emotions at that point in time. It was only after mounting the artwork on her wall she felt that there were still more expressions within her that she wanted to portray.

This was the beginning of her journey into modern abstract painting.

From then to now ~

Feral's early works were purely at an experimental level but over the years she refined and developed her artistic energy into a very unique and distinctive modern style. What simply began as a way to express herself visually has seen Tiajmo evolve into a compelling artistic brand.

Tiajmo now provides modern abstract art not only to family & friends but to individual clients, corporate businesses, and also a modern homeware store - TOFFI Furnishings.

Our artworks blend colour, texture, and design to create a harmonious balance within our client's decor.

Inspiration & Mediums ~

Feral's art is derived not only from her inner emotions but also the environment which surrounds her. She gathers inspiration from things such as the local wetlands, the beach, or even simply just the love for her daughter and family.

She is a very passionate artist and instils a small piece of herself into every creation. Plus she is strongly focused on the quality of her work rather than the quantity of it.

Tiajmo's range of artworks are primarily acrylic paint on canvas utilising natural earthy colours and themes. A range of mixed media is then used to give the individual piece it's own unique flair. This media can be anything from glass beads, to text elements and even leaves and feathers found in the local area. Several artworks also use splashes of vibrant colour. These are usually designed more often for a child's bedroom but occasionally it will be to match with a piece of furniture or decor.

Why ~

The selection of an artwork is often a very personal and emotional task. You may find a piece which contains some aspects which you desire but others that you do not. Or alternatively you may be searching for the perfect artwork to match your interior decor or colour scheme. It is for these reasons we offer clients our commissioned artwork service.

What's involved ~

Commissioned artworks start with a preliminary meeting to discuss the clients preferences and requirements. A viewing of the artworks desired location will also be done at this time to assess the environment and establish the exact sizing.

Based on all of the details gathered from the meeting, a quotation will be put forward to the client outlining the various stages and the overall total cost.

Once accepted, the design and painting of the artwork will commence. The client will then be notified during the process for several stage approvals and then to finally receive the finished artwork.
